This figure marks a 7% decrease compared to March’s $65 million but represents a 70% year-on-year increase, as only two casinos were operational last April.

The three casinos contributed $10.8 million in taxes, reinforcing their growing role in Virginia’s economy.

    • Two hotel towers, pool, and resort amenities

  • Petersburg has selected The Cordish Companies to develop a new casino, pending voter approval.

Key Insights

  • Slot machines remain the top revenue driver, generating $43.9 million, while table games contributed $16.2 million.

  • The state’s casino sector continues to expand, despite slight month-over-month declines.

  • The permanent facilities under development are expected to create thousands of jobs and further boost Virginia’s entertainment and tourism sectors.
