Resorts World Las Vegas was in a buoyant mood earlier this week after sharing exciting news about their coveted loyalty program.

Genting Rewards, which is named after Resorts World’s Malaysian-based owners Genting, has just enrolled the one-millionth person to sign up for the scheme.

Yes, Billy Chung, a California resident was pictured beaming a smile on the Resorts World’s casino floor along with the establishment’s executives after helping them hit a special milestone.

In becoming the latest enrollee, Chung was given an incredible royal treatment package bundle. Along with a commemorative Genting Rewards card, he was handed a complimentary three-night stay in a luxury suite at the hotel, as well as a dinner.

If that wasn’t enough, Chung also received four tickets for a show of his choice at Resorts World, and a free spa package for four people.

Oh, and Chung will also pick up one million Genting Rewards points which will see him soar to Imperial level. This represents the top tier in the loyalty stakes, and the perks for this include free valet as well as a 40% points boost for slots.

Although there has been some turbulence that has unfolded at Resorts World this year, including the sacking of Scott Sibella as president and chief officer, the integrated casino resort seems to be more at home in Vegas.

Moreover, the loyalty program has been an undoubted success, and it has been accruing members seamlessly since the casino opened in June 2021.

The distinguished rewards scheme sees enrollees amass points throughout the resort, with three points, for example, awarded for every $1 spent on slots, while five points are allocated for every $1 used to purchase food and drinks.

Loyalty programs, in general, have soared in popularity at casinos. Caesars Entertainment were pioneers in this regard, unveiling Total Rewards in 1997 before it was later rebranded as Caesars Rewards in 2019.

But as far as Resorts World is concerned, Genting’s big gamble has paid off. Genting operates four Resorts World casinos throughout the US, and aside from one venue in Vegas, the other three are in New York.

Resorts World’s milestone shouldn’t go unnoticed, and the rate they are landing new members for its loyalty program has been astonishing. Maybe it won’t be long until another landmark is reached.
