Police Arrest Man at Las Vegas Casino Suspected of Murdering Wife a Day Earlier
Various news sources report that a man has been taken into custody at a Las Vegas casino following the discovery of his wife’s body at their home in Pennsylvania.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson confirmed the name of the suspect. Arthur Guty Jr.’s arrest on Tuesday, as reported by various sources on Wednesday, was confirmed by authorities.
Nicole Zambrano, Guty’s wife, had been reported missing last week. Tragically, her lifeless body was found at their residence in Uniontown on Monday.
Law enforcement, as cited by local authorities, indicated that Zambrano may have been deceased for several days before the discovery of her body.
According to various sources, law enforcement officials reported that Guty, aged 55, was located at the Mardi Gras Casino with $100,000 in cash. The police were able to pinpoint Guty’s location by tracking his phone in the Las Vegas area.
Lieutenant Thomas Kolencik of the Uniontown Police Department informed the outlet that Nicole Zambrano was found at her residence with “a gunshot wound to a vital part of the body.”
In a separate statement, Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele expressed the authorities’ belief that Arthur Guty was on his way out of the country with a substantial amount of cash, intending to evade or attempt to evade responsibility for the events that transpired.
Aubele underscored that the investigation into Nicole Zambrano’s death is ongoing, asserting that they believe her murder was intentional and premeditated.
Aubele assured that legal proceedings would be pursued diligently, stating their commitment to prosecuting the matter to the fullest extent of the law and securing the justice Nicole deserves. As reported by various news sources, Guty is confronting charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault.
Zambrano’s disappearance was brought to attention by her coworkers at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort when she missed reporting to work for several days.
According to information provided by authorities, an inquiry was triggered on Friday when law enforcement conducted a welfare check at Nicole Zambrano’s residence.
Kolencik mentioned that Guty, the husband, was unable to provide accurate information about his wife’s whereabouts during the investigation. He conveyed the unfortunate nature of the situation, expressing that it is not the ideal way to begin 2024.
Kolencik expressed his condolences, adding that their thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family. He also noted that there is still some investigative work pending, but authorities are confident in making an arrest soon.
On Monday night, the Uniontown Police Department secured an arrest warrant for Guty. However, as of now, there has been no immediate response to the request for additional information from both a spokesperson for the Uniontown Police Department and the Fayette County District Attorney.
