Playtech Expands Live Dealer Reach With MGM, Other Partners
MGM Resorts International and Playtech have recently announced a strategic partnership in the live casino gaming market. This collaboration will enable the launch of live casino game broadcasts from prominent MGM properties, specifically the MGM Grand and Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas.
However, these broadcasts will be accessible exclusively to online casinos in regulated markets worldwide, excluding US casino players. The initial lineup of games will feature classic offerings such as single-zero and double-zero roulette and baccarat.
The strategic partnership between MGM and Playtech has ambitious plans for expansion. These include the potential introduction of branded TV game shows, additional Playtech games, and celebrity-hosted trivia shows. The aim is to create unique entertainment experiences that capitalize on Las Vegas’s vibrant reputation and MGM Resorts’ distinctive allure.
In addition to the MGM collaboration, Playtech has also made strides with Betsson by launching dedicated live dealer tables exclusively for the operator. This initial setup includes ten tables that will feature blackjack and roulette, with dealers fluent in English, Portuguese, Greek, and Spanish.
These tables are housed in Playtech’s studio, and adorned with Betsson branding and marketing materials. Playtech’s strategy for Betsson extends beyond this launch, with plans to increase the number of tables over time.
The company is also supplying a diverse range of live game variants to Betsson’s platforms, which includes unique titles like Sticky Bandits Roulette Live, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, Lucky Ball, and Grand Royale Cashback Blackjack. Jamie Busby, Head of Live Casino at Betsson, highlighted the enthusiasm for the collaboration with Playtech Live, emphasizing the creation of an immersive and seamless gaming experience.
Ariel Hayat, an executive at Playtech Live, underscored the significance of the partnership with Betsson and reiterated Playtech’s commitment to fostering a safe, sustainable, and responsible gaming environment.
Further expanding its influence, Playtech has solidified another partnership with NetBet Italy, enabling the site to offer a range of live dealer games, including live roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and other titles from Playtech’s extensive catalog.
Additionally, Playtech’s Quickspin brand has recently announced a partnership with Entain, based in Spain, broadening its scope in the gaming sector. These developments are part of Playtech’s continuous efforts to enhance and diversify its live gaming offerings.
