Playtech, bet365 To Bring Joint iGaming Platform to Pennsylvania
Playtech has announced an expansion of its collaboration with bet365, one of the world’s largest online gambling brands, into Pennsylvania. This marks the second US market where the two companies operate together.
The partnership, which initially launched in New Jersey, now reaches Pennsylvania’s growing iGaming and sports betting audience. Here, it will now offer a wider range of gaming content and enhance the competitive landscape of the state’s online gaming market.
bet365 made its official entry into Pennsylvania in July through a partnership with Presque Isle Downs and Casino, a key move that marks its 11th market in the US. This expansion underscores bet365’s aggressive growth strategy in the American iGaming sector. Shortly after gaining full regulatory approval, bet365 further bolstered its offerings by partnering with White Hat Studios to introduce a diverse selection of online slot games to its portfolio.
Playtech’s partnership with bet365 allows the UK-based gaming giant to offer even more extensive content to its US customers. As a leading provider of technology solutions for online casinos, live casino games, sports betting, virtual sports, bingo, and poker, Playtech’s involvement in Pennsylvania gives bet365 access to a wide array of premium gaming content.
The Pennsylvania launch has already yielded impressive results. In just nine days of operation in July and throughout August, bet365’s iGaming operations generated over $4 million in revenue. Meanwhile, the online sportsbook handled $28 million in wagers in August, placing bet365 fourth among Pennsylvania’s sports betting operators. The sportsbook’s impressive performance also contributed $2 million in revenue for the month, showcasing its rapid integration and success in the state.
The Pennsylvania expansion follows a series of strategic moves by Playtech aimed at strengthening its global market presence. In June, the company partnered with MGM Resorts to launch “MGM Live,” a live-streamed broadcast of casino games, including roulette and baccarat, directly from two Las Vegas casinos. This collaboration brought a unique and immersive live casino experience to players, further cementing Playtech’s position as an innovator in the gaming technology space.
More recently, Playtech completed the sale of Italian gaming company Snai to Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of FanDuel, in a deal valued at $2.56 billion. This sale marks another significant step in Playtech’s efforts to streamline its operations and focus on key growth markets, such as the US.
Playtech’s expanding footprint in the US, bolstered by its strategic partnerships and innovative technology solutions, positions the company to capitalize on the rapid growth of the American iGaming market. The company’s latest moves, particularly its deepened collaboration with bet365, showcase its commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences and its ambition to remain at the forefront of the industry.
Pennsylvania is poised to become a key market for both companies. With its growing iGaming and sports betting sectors, Pennsylvania offers significant opportunities for operators looking to expand their customer base and introduce new and innovative gaming products.
For bet365, the Pennsylvania launch is another step in its US expansion strategy, following successful entries into markets like New Jersey, Colorado, and Ohio. With the support of Playtech’s cutting-edge technology, the company is well-positioned to capture a larger share of the competitive US iGaming market.
Playtech’s continued growth and its partnership with bet365 highlight the ongoing evolution of the iGaming industry in the US. As more states embrace regulated online gambling, both companies are likely to play a key role in shaping the future of digital gaming experiences for American consumers.
