    In April 2024, Pennsylvania’s gaming industry demonstrated robust growth, with total revenue reaching $504.7 million, marking a 5.9% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.

    Online gaming emerged as a significant driver of growth, with slot revenues surging to $126.0 million, a notable 31.8% increase year-over-year. Table games also contributed significantly, generating $45.0 million, reflecting a solid 15.8% rise from April 2023.

    Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia led Pennsylvania’s casinos, achieving total gaming revenue of $85.3 million, a substantial 33.6% increase compared to April 2023.

    Following closely was Hollywood Casino at Penn National in Grantsville, reporting $78.3 million in revenue, marking a respectable 5.2% year-over-year increase.

    In contrast, Parx Casino in Philadelphia experienced a revenue decline, totaling $53.8 million, down by 2.7% compared to the previous year. Despite this setback, Parx remains a significant player in the state’s gambling industry.

    Slot revenue across Pennsylvania totaled $205.5 million in April 2024, indicating a slight decrease of 3.5% from the previous year. Individual casino performances varied within this category, with Parx Casino leading slot revenues at $31.6 million, albeit reflecting a 4.9% decline from April 2023.

    Wind Creek Bethlehem reported $22.6 million in slot revenue, down 5.5% year over year, while Rivers Casino Pittsburgh generated $21.5 million, marking an 8.5% decrease.

    Hollywood Casino at Penn National emerged as a top performer with $62.3 million in revenue, a 6.5% increase from the previous year.

    Valley Forge Casino Resort reported a significant jump in online gaming revenue, reaching $48.1 million, an impressive 54.0% increase year over year.

    Rivers Casino Philadelphia also saw notable growth in online gaming revenue, reporting $30.6 million, a 17.3% increase from April 2023.

    Moreover, Valley Forge Casino Resort reported substantial sports betting revenue of $25.4 million from a handle of $272.3 million.

    Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Meadowlands followed with $9.8 million in sports betting revenue from a handle of $168.3 million. Hollywood Casino at Penn National also reported $2.2 million in sports betting revenue from a handle of $41.6 million.
