NJ player storms to historic win on BetMGM slot

A New Jersey player will be basking in the glory of his stunning slot success at BetMGM, and it was certainly momentous.

Recently, BetMGM paid out the largest jackpot in online casino history in the US when a NJ player claimed $6,450,023 on the slot Fruit Blaster.

The progressive jackpot, which at one point stood at $4 million in February, continued to soar, but it went unclaimed for months.

However, BetMGM confirmed that the NJ player had won the life-changing sum, and that was based on a $200 wager.

With the Fruit Blaster slot, this traditional game sees players pick up an assortment of fruit-based symbols, and the staggering win was part of BetMGM’s The Big One prize pool, which is from the company’s proprietary slots.

For all wins over the $500,000 mark, BetMGM will treat the unnamed player to a trip to an MGM Resort which is in line with the company’s policy.

Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM’s CEO, admitted people were on tenterhooks waiting for the big prize to drop.

He said: “It’s been a summer filled with anticipation watching the progressive jackpot grow quickly to record levels.”

Angus Nisbett, BetMGM’s vice president of gaming, echoed the sentiments of Greenblatt.

He said: “It’s these ‘you never know’ when moments that make progressive jackpots especially thrilling.

“In addition to the jackpot, we hope the player enjoys their trip to an MGM Resort in the near future.”

The progressive jackpot has since been reset and it is now worth $1.2 million.

It’s fair to say that the Fruit Blaster slot victory created ripples of excitement in the online casino community, and it remains to be seen whether the win will be emulated again or even surpassed.
