Foxwoods Resort Casino Gets Its Own Wahlburgers Restaurant

Wahlburgers, the renowned burger chain with celebrity roots, has officially opened its doors at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

This eagerly awaited addition was first announced in August 2022, and the casino is pulling out all the stops to celebrate with a private grand opening event scheduled for this week. The inauguration will feature notable speeches from executives representing both Foxwoods and Wahlburgers.

The restaurant is the brainchild of actors and musicians Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, alongside their brother Paul, the chain’s executive chef. This dining concept initially took flight in 2011 in their native Massachusetts.

The menu is an irresistible affair, boasting an array of options, including burgers, chicken and fish sandwiches, salads featuring chicken and salmon, loaded tater tots, fries, onion rings and a selection of all-American favourites such as bacon mac and cheese and chilli.

The restaurant at Foxwoods is more comprehensive than just classic cuisine. The location comes complete with a fully stocked bar serving boozy milkshakes, cocktails and a variety of wines and beers that include a distinctive pale ale.

Donnie Wahlberg expressed his excitement about bringing Wahlburgers to Foxwoods, describing it as a long-cherished opportunity.

He emphasized that the new Wahlburgers represents the fusion of excellent cuisine, top-notch entertainment, and the memorable experiences for which Foxwoods is renowned.

Donnie also eagerly anticipates sharing this unique blend with Connecticut residents and visitors from across the nation who relish the Foxwoods experience.

The opening of Wahlburgers Foxwoods on August 29, 2023, marks the brand’s triumphant return to Connecticut.

A prior location at the Westfield Trumbull Mall debuted in 2017 but regrettably closed its doors in 2020. Additionally, the brand has a casino restaurant at MGM Springfield.

Wahlburgers has blossomed into a formidable chain, boasting over 100 restaurants across 25 states. As indicated on its official website, it has a presence in international territories like Australia, Canada and New Zealand.

Adding more star power to Foxwoods’ dining offerings, July witnessed the grand opening of Gordon Ramsay’s HELL’S KITCHEN within the lavish Grand Pequot Tower.

This restaurant accommodates 260 guests and serves Ramsay’s signature dishes, including beef Wellington, sticky toffee pudding, and a tempting array of steaks, seafood, salads and sides.

This is Ramsay’s sixth HELL’S KITCHEN location, joining others in Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, southern California and Washington, D.C.

As if that weren’t enough excitement, Foxwoods unveiled its brand-new Pequot Woodlands Casino at the end of August.

Covering a vast 50,000 square feet, this casino boasts over 430 new slot machines, a stylish 40-seat slot bar named Truth Searcher, 24 exhilarating table games, a high-limit slot room housing 130 machines, a bustling public bar and a dynamic casino cage.
