Delaware North Taps Playtech To Be Platform Provider for Betly iGaming Platform
Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and gaming, has partnered with Playtech to enhance its Betly sportsbook and online casino platform. Playtech, a prominent provider of gaming platforms and content, will power the Betly app, beginning with its Ohio sportsbook, which launched recently. The new partnership replaces the MVGBet platform under an affiliate license with Miami Valley Gaming, a Delaware North joint venture between Cincinnati and Dayton.
Betly’s operations in Arkansas, Tennessee, and West Virginia are also set to transition to the Playtech platform in the coming months. West Virginia customers will benefit from both sportsbook and online casino features. Lee Terfloth, Delaware North’s Chief Interactive Gaming Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting that the advanced features offered by Playtech will significantly enhance the user experience.
Playtech’s platform provides Betly with advanced promotional tools, allowing personalized offerings like bonus bets, boosts, tournaments, and drawings tailored to individual player activity. These features aim to deliver a dynamic and engaging user experience based on their preferences and historical betting habits.
This partnership also bolsters Betly’s commitment to responsible gaming. The platform now integrates Playtech’s BetBuddy technology, which uses data insights to identify at-risk behaviors and supports operators in delivering targeted interventions and personalized messaging.
Delaware North, already an established casino operator, has further strengthened its approach to responsible gaming by collaborating with Birches Health, a behavioral addiction program. This partnership enables Betly users to access assessments and resources for managing gambling-related issues. Delaware North staff also receive clinician-led training to promote responsible gaming practices.
The Betly Ohio sportsbook app is already live on mobile, both iOS and Android, and desktop, featuring expanded customer support, a seamless onboarding process, and multiple payment options. Enhanced wagering capabilities include same-game parlays, regional odds boosts, in-play betting, teaser bets, and NFL data integration via Genius Sports.
This collaboration marks a significant upgrade for Delaware North’s interactive gaming division. It’s a step forward for the company as it continues to dive deeper into the competitive and growing online gaming industry in the US. It also helps Playtech expand its reach in the same market.
