Canada-Based Strive Gaming Set for Major US Expansion
Vancouver’s Strive Gaming has unveiled a significant funding round spearheaded by OpenBet, a sports betting supplier. Specializing in player-account management (PAM) platforms within the US iGaming sector, the company is poised to utilize the funding for its expansive ventures in the American market.
In exchange for the investment, the amount of which the company didn’t specify, OpenBet secured a minority stake in the company. The funding round witnessed participation from Knutsson Holdings AB, Astralis Capital Management, a specialized gaming fund, and Betsson, which was an initial investor in Strive Gaming at its inception in 2021.
Strive Gaming’s exclusive PAM technology is set to integrate seamlessly into OpenBet’s renowned sports betting solution. This collaboration creates a unified platform, propelling both entities forward, with a specific focus on expanding into tribal gaming markets.
Additionally, the integrated platform will incorporate regulatory-compliance features from Neccton, a company acquired by OpenBet in the previous year.
Jordan Levin, the CEO of OpenBet, envisions that this investment will create “significant new opportunities” for his company as a prominent global industry supplier.
Emphasizing Strive Gaming’s Player Account Management (PAM) resilience as a forward-looking solution tailored for the US market, coupled with OpenBet’s unwavering standards, Levin anticipates delivering a fully integrated turnkey proposition to US operators, fostering responsible betting experiences.
This strategic partnership marks a pivotal moment in the company’s trajectory. This venture stands as OpenBet’s initial foray into iGaming following its separation from Light & Wonder in 2022.
While maintaining its autonomy, Strive Gaming, under the leadership of CEO Max Meltzer, will actively pursue licenses across all regulated iGaming states in the US. Simultaneously, the company will enhance its PAM technology and bolster its online casino suite.
Strive Gaming has established partnerships with notable entities such as Four Winds Casino, Golden Nugget (DraftKings), Desert Diamond and Betsafe (a Betsson subsidiary) in the US.
Additionally, it has collaborated with PointsBet Canada to craft the online casino platform for the regulated Ontario market.
Expressing the synergy between OpenBet and Strive Gaming, CEO Max Meltzer highlighted their collective expertise spanning the entire betting industry, complemented by robust technological capabilities and a talented team.
