Borgata Online Casino Launches Online Arcade Games in New Jersey
BetMGM, the force behind the Borgata Online Casino platform in New Jersey, has unveiled a novel development that merges iGaming with nostalgia, providing an innovative experience for players of all ages.
The newly introduced Borgata Arcade can be found within the Borgata Online app and website. It offers nontraditional iGaming content infused with classic amusements such as skeeball and iconic arcade titles like “Street Fighter II.”
The Borgata Arcade launched this week, featuring 118 interactive games, including a plethora of Slingo options and celebrity-endorsed games from notable figures like Wayne Gretzky, John Daly, Jimi Hendrix, Gordon Ramsay, Motorhead and Guns N’ Roses.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, expressed, “Borgata Arcade offers a one-stop destination for players to discover their favorite games. From the traditional mall arcade to its popularity on home consoles, the arcade has continued to evolve, and now BetMGM is bringing it to life within iGaming.”
To entice BetMGM players to explore the Borgata Arcade, a promotion has been introduced, providing the opportunity to win up to $1,000 in site credit after wagering a minimum of $20 within the arcade.
With the introduction of the Borgata Arcade, BetMGM has expanded its New Jersey iGaming platform to encompass over 1,500 games, including slots, table games, live dealer options, arcade games, virtual sports, variety games, bingo and keno.
The city of Atlantic City is making a strong push to rejuvenate interest in arcades and amusements, aiming to attract new visitors to this casino-centric destination.
The former casino floor at the Showboat, previously operated by Caesars Entertainment before its closure in 2014, has been transformed into the “Lucky Snake,” which now boasts the title of “Largest Arcade in America.”
Spanning an impressive 200,000 square feet, Lucky Snake features an extensive collection of over 600 arcade games.
Adding to this excitement, Harrah’s Atlantic City in the Marina District recently unveiled its amusement space, aptly named “The Arcade.”
Covering 5,328 square feet, this dynamic area offers a high-energy, multi-sensory experience that’s suitable for all age groups. Highlights at the Harrah’s Arcade include a gigantic claw machine and a variety of virtual reality games.
Furthermore, the well-known establishment Dave & Busters is preparing to open its inaugural Atlantic City location, combining a restaurant with an arcade tailored to children. This 21,000-square-foot site is set to debut next month at the Tanger Outlets shopping center.
While arcades have seen a decline in popularity in various parts of the country, amusements and carnivals have remained a cherished part of life for New Jersey’s youth.
The state of New Jersey is a leader in the iGaming industry, with a few select states allowing online casinos featuring slots and table games.
The business of iGaming is booming, with the interactive platform partners associated with Atlantic City’s nine casinos collectively generating over $1.4 billion in gross gaming revenue (GGR) from 2023 up to September.
Borgata’s online operations have been particularly noteworthy, with the casino’s online partners contributing $375.8 million to the internet GGR. Borgata has established online partnerships in New Jersey with PartyCasino, Stardust Casino, Wheel of Fortune Casino and BetMGM.
