BetMGM Takes Its Online Gaming Platform to the UK

    BetMGM continues to announce strategic steps as the company and the brand pursue an expansion in various markets. This week, MGM Resorts International, which operates BetMGM through a joint venture with gaming operator Entain, officially introduced BetMGM iGaming and online sports betting within its grounds.

    Last year, BetMGM took a significant step in its attempt to expand in the UK market. The entertainment and hospitality giant opted for the purchase of LeoVegas. The deal was announced as part of an acquisition on behalf of MGM Resorts last year.

    The company has since explored and planned the deployment of the brand’s gaming and betting platform using LeoVegas’ existing technology in the UK. The plan is now to have LeoVegas run the casino operation in the region and allow Kambi to own and offer the sportsbook operation.

    As of the current month, LeoVegas is widely offered and accessible to clients beyond UK borders. The company operates throughout various European countries and even Canada in North America.

    What casino players and sports bettors can now expect is the modification and enhancements that are known to be pillars at BetMGM. That is why users can now look for new product features such as more frequent and large jackpots, a more robust loyalty reward program, promotions on various sports bets, and exclusive slots available at BetMGM.

    With years of experience in Las Vegas, BetMGM’s sports and casino platforms and services have become prominent in the US and worldwide. The UK has also seen the effects of having significant providers such as BetMGM compete in the industry.

    Still, there are sudden plans to affect the BetMGM platforms. These will continue to operate without any changes or modifications in the US and Canada. In the UK, the provider will offer the full range of gambling and sports betting selections via their desktop and mobile apps.

    According to Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts, the BetMGM brand is already a significant competitor in the industry. Yet, Hornbuckle mentioned that the company will always look for opportunities to expand and improve its already-dominant offer.

    Hornbuckle stated that BetMGM is currently one of the top brands in the US and that this same business model can be replicated and reenacted in various markets worldwide. The UK is one of these markets the brand is looking to dominate.
