Aristocrat Gaming’s New NFL Slots Arrive in Oklahoma
Aristocrat Gaming has initiated the installation of its NFL Kickoff slot machines at Oklahoma casinos as of Wednesday.
Following the introduction of the NFL Super Bowl Jackpots at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, this marks the second addition to Aristocrat Gaming’s NFL-themed slot machines.
NFL Kickoff is the first NFL-licensed title for Class II on the RELM XL 5-Reel premium cabinet. The gameplay incorporates football-specific elements, offering bonus opportunities like the Red Zone Bonus for players to aim for a touchdown.
Additional features include the Wheel Spin feature and Red Zone Spins.
The game is scheduled to extend to Class II markets over the next few months. Hector Fernandez, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming, pointed out that the game encapsulates the excitement of an NFL game and offers a distinctive opportunity to score a touchdown while representing one’s favorite team through the bonus feature.
The initial offering in a series of league-themed slots that Aristocrat plans to release over the next few months is called NFL Super Bowl Jackpots.
This machine is currently available exclusively at Resorts World in Las Vegas, allowing players to select their favorite NFL team, which then customizes the game with relevant imagery, videos of key game moments and even stadium anthems.
The game features a potential $1 million progressive jackpot and has been introduced in select casinos in California, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Oregon and Arizona.
Hector Fernandez, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming, expressed his belief that these football-themed machines will attract younger male players to the world of slots, expanding the player demographic from the traditional older female audience.
The NFL, once hesitant to associate with gambling, is now estimated to generate substantial revenue through agreements with casino companies and sportsbook operators, with projections indicating this figure could reach $1 billion within the next decade.
This shift in attitude began when the NFL team owners approved the Raiders’ relocation to Las Vegas in 2017, acknowledging the evolving technological landscape and diminishing concerns surrounding sports betting in Las Vegas.
Following the US Supreme Court’s decision to lift the federal ban on sports betting in 2018, the NFL entered into strategic partnerships with various gaming and betting companies, paving the way for the introduction of branded slot machines.
