GiG And PlayStar Concluded An Agreement
PlayStar Casino is a newly established brand founded by Joel Wikell, the founder of Boss Media, Blinto, Readly, and Hexigames. This startup will launch its iGaming services in America and seeks the support of Gaming Innovation Group (GiG). PlayStar intends to start operating in New Jersey in the fourth quarter of 2021. According to the deal between the companies, GiG has to provide PlayStar with iGaming platform technologies.
Adam Noble, the PlayStar co-founder and executive vice president, said: “PlayStar Casino is setting out to offer an online casino experience with a difference that will stand out from the current offerings in the market. Our player experience focus, centered on a unique product offering, engaging fronted concept and personalization will result in an immersive and entertaining experience for the player.” He also added that GiG had received a reputation for being a “very formidable and trusted technology partner in Europe.” For this reason, the company was confident while choosing GiG as its platform partner for market entry into New Jersey. PlayStar and GiG concluded a 4 year agreement drawing on a revenue share model.
It is very exciting to be part of PlayStar’s inspiring and innovative plans for the expanding US digital gambling market. PlayStar has an extremely strong product vision backed by a very experienced industry team. This agreement further demonstrates and drives our ambition to be the platform partner of choice for operators in regulated markets. GiG is extremely proud to be supporting PlaySTar as they establish themselves as a strong and innovative iGaming brand in the USA.
GiG is not a single company that cooperates with PlayStar as far as this startup online casino has sealed a deal with Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort. The PlayStar’s co-founder and executive vice president stated that it was a good chance for the company to get access to the New Jersey gambling market with Ocean Casino Resort’s help. Parx Casino, German operator Tipico, and William Hill sportsbook are already the online gaming partners of Ocean Casino Resort.
Joel Wikell said: “For me, it is great to be back in the game as I founded Boss Media in the mid-nineties and brought many of the earliest online casinos to life. To get back in at this time when the technology and possibilities have advanced so much is genuinely exciting. And we’re looking forward to doing it all over again.”
According to the data collected by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, Garden State has faced considerable development and the online gaming GGR increased by 101% in 2020 compared to 2019. The number of licenses within the state is limited, meaning the number of competitors is defined as well. However, the iGaming market in the state is one of the fastest-growing in the world.
The agreement with PlayStar is not the first deal for GiG in 2021 because the gaming technology supplier has already prolonged the agreement for the provision of marketing compliance services with Bet365. The initial agreement was signed in 2019: that was one of the main reasons why Bet365, iGaming, and sports betting operator, became the first tier-1 betting company.
“We look forward to another successful year working with GiG Comply. The versatility of the tool means that we can effectively adapt to the ever-changing regulatory landscape, ensuring we maintain a highly compliant affiliate program,” said the Bet365 spokesperson.
