Esports Entertainment Group Makes Bold Growth Moves
Malta’s Esports Entertainment Group has made two big moves to boost its online offerings while partnering with a widely known professional sports franchise. Esports Entertainment says it has agreed to pay $30 million to buy Lucky Dino Gaming and, in a separate move, reached a formal agreement to partner with the NFL Philadelphia Eagles to promote esports. The growth of its gaming platforms and new partnership should elevate the brand’s status and offering while proceeding with anticipated market growth. It also will enable crossover marketing and penetration into new geographical markets, like the United States.
Lucky Dino Gaming also is based in Malta and has four licensed online gaming brands that are growing in popularity. Those online casinos are the Lucky Dino, Casino Jefe, Kalevala Kasino, and Olaspill. Lucky Dino Gaming owns all of the technology powering its four gaming titles and has proven to be a popular gaming platform with strong growth potential.
Over the past five years, Lucky Dino has posted annual revenue gains averaging 86 percent and reported $21 million in revenue and an EBITDA of $3.8 million during the past year. Analysts predict Lucky Dino Gaming could generate up to $29 million in revenues with an EBITDA of $6.5 million for the 2022 fiscal year, which would be yet another increase and further affirms why the deal was made.
Lucky Dino has grown from a relatively small operation with one gaming title to a class-leading online casino operator with its four gaming sites.
Buying the growing brand will help Esports Entertainment to expand into new markets in Europe and Scandinavia, where esports has proven to be very popular. The merger enables Esports Entertainment to cross-market its esports brands and events with Lucky Dino users in new markets. It also gives Esports Entertainment an exceptional online casino gaming platform that will combine operations to enhance customer service while boosting efficiency and profitability for both brands.
Eventually, Esports Entertainment intends to enter the U.S. market with the Lucky Dino casino gaming platform. That will help to capture a profitable share of a growing market that is opening up to online gaming and legal sports betting. The Lucky Dino platform uses a modern design to deliver exceptionally efficient microservices and an intuitive gaming experience that is simple to learn and play.
Simplicity means bettors have more confidence to try and play more games and enjoy the platform even more. As more bettors sign up, the platform can cross-market its esports offerings and events while penetrating entirely new markets. The potential for expanding across geographical boundaries makes the gaming merger an important element of Esports Entertainment’s grown plan. It also affirms why Esports Entertainment inked the partnership deal with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
Esports is growing across the United States and has firmly established itself in Las Vegas, which hopes to become a global esports destination and events provider. The separate esporting agreement with the Philadelphia Eagles is the first with an NFL team with the aim of promoting events, including popular video football esports. [Eagles] The agreement allows Esports Entertainment to hold twice-yearly Madden NFL tournaments sponsored by the Eagles. In exchange, the Eagles are to become a shareholder in Esports Entertainment Group.
Esports Entertainment already has a multi-year partnership with Electronic Arts, which owns the wildly popular Madden NFL game that is publishing its 21st edition and has sold more than 250 million copies. The partnership enables the Eagles to expand its reach to new fans while providing current fans with more ways to enjoy their favorite NFL team and game.
